14: TotR | Runner’s gift list

Are you someone who likes to start their Christmas shopping early? Do you have a runner in your life and need some gift inspiration? You’ve come to the right place. I gathered a few gift ideas for runners with which you can’t possibly go wrong.

I own some of these things myself and others are definitely on my wishlist.

1. Foot Notes by Momentum Jewelry. These are perfect to add a little bit of extra motivation to your step! They look kinda cool on your running shoes, too.

2. If you haven’t heard of the Run Fast. Eat Slow. cookbook by Shalane Flanagan and Elyse Kopecky, you must not be a runner. But at least Shalane’s name should ring a bell now that she won the New York Marathon! Woot, woot! This cookbook has a bunch of healthy and nourishing recipes for all meals of the day. Snacks included.

3. I was lucky to win one of those Mavi Bandz headbands in an Instagram giveaway a while back and I am so glad that I was introduced to them that way. They’re adjustable and come in really cute colors and prints.

4. I bought some of these Sugoi merino wool arm warmers at a FleetFeet Sale a couple of months ago and they come in really handy now during the cooler time of the year.

5. Every runner can use one of these fun runner’s shirts from SarahMarieDesignStudio. There are a ton of cool styles and colors to choose from and there are a few styles I am eyeing myself.

6. Buff® Multifunctional Headwear. I don’t own one of these (yet), but I can definitely see how useful and versatile these headbands/neckwarmers are and I’ve heard so many good things about them.

7. If your runner friend is not already subscribed, a Runner’s World Magazine subscription is a gift that keeps on giving every month. I enjoy this magazine tremendously and I’ve been reading it for a couple of years now.

What else are great gift ideas for active people? Leave your ideas in the comments!

This week, I am linking up with Erika, Patty and Marcia  for Tuesdays on the Run again.

  1. I don’t run, but I do own a Buff. I wear it on major hikes (High Peaks) as a head cover to keep black flies at bay and to minimize snags. It drives me nuts when my hair catches on branches and pulls out of the pony tail constantly.

  2. Make sure J sees that list! ;)

  3. I always wanted to be a runner and really tired hard at it a few years ago. I have a friend that runs and runs and runs and I am envious as I always thought it was so hard.
My Brother, never a runner before, decided one day he wanted to be a runner. So he started. Now he runs marathons all the time. Some people just have the runners bug.

  4. This is such a great list. I know a few people who love to run and have participated in marathons. I love the t-shirt and the arm warmers.

  5. Those foot notes are too cute! I’m most definitely NOT a runner, but I do know some.

  6. I would like any of those gifts, especially the cookbook, I am such a foodie!

  7. I’d be happy to receive any of those gifts! Great picks!

  8. I love Momentum Jewelry, and those arm warmers look awesome!

  9. I am a huge fan of arm warmers! :)

  10. These are great gifts for runners! I love the Run Fast Eat Slow cookbook. And that t-shirt is awesome!

  11. I’ve got a few similar items on my list! Great minds think alike!

  12. This is a great list! I just got the Run Fast Eat Slow from my Secret Santa and it’s great! And yes to BUFF…they are great!!

  13. I’m totally a runner but haven’t seen that cookbook! I’ll have to add it to my wishlist!

  14. I haven’t been running as much as I used to but I love those headbands! I’d definitely rock one of those even if I wasn’t working out!

  15. I always like getting socks because they can be pricey! One year I asked for a reflective vest to use when running in the evenings. My run club runs at 6 pm on Mon and Wed so during the early spring season it gets dark during our runs. I know it’s super dorky – but safety first!!

  16. We have so many buffs and they can truly be worn in so many ways. Everyone in my house uses them LOL.

  17. I just bought Run Fast. Eat Slow. and am definitely looking forward to trying out a few of her go-to recipes. Also, I cry every time I watch the video of her winning. EVERY SINGLE TIME.
