So, tell me – how was your Halloween weekend? Did you do something fun? Did you go to a Halloween party? Did you dress up?

J and I didn’t really have any plans, so our weekend ended up being pretty laid-back and – to J’s dislike – not very scary. I made J go to the Pumpkin Patch with me on Saturday to pick out some pumpkins (for decorcation). I was really tempted to try the “Corn Maze” (never done it!), but it was too crowded, so we didn’t get in line.  We watched “Beetle Juice” on Friday (remotely scary) and then the very un-halloweenish, but nevertheless very worthwhile movie “Adjustment Bureau” yesterday. It was one of the movies that made me think and nod “Yup, that’s a Matt Damon movie”.

The weather is still gorgeous, though I’ve had to turn on the heater once or twice in the evenings and early mornings because it was too cold in our apartment. We’re kind of in the middle between the late summer and fall and honestly? I like it that way. I get to snuggle up with a blanket and hot tea in the evening, while I still enjoy 80 degree-weather during the day. I can totally live with that :)

Other good things this weekend:

skyping with my aunt for her 50th birthday ♥ early morning coffee ♥ getting laundry and paperwork done ♥ sleeping in ♥ shopping at Trader Joe’s ♥ blog reading ♥ late night crocheting while watching reruns of “Friends” ♥ staying up til 2 a.m. ♥ reading ♥ hot tea ♥ fresh bagels ♥ sunshine and 81°F ♥ ice-cream sandwich ♥ snuggling up on the couch ♥ candles ♥ watching little iPhone-movies of my niece and nephew ♥ taking and editing photos ♥ socks and blankets ♥ home-cooked dinners

  1. Happy Halloween friend!! We had a pretty chill weekend as well, but tonight will be a blast taking our 2 year old trick or treating for the first time and eating pumpkin shaped pizzas ;-)

  2. Happy Halloween! We didn’t do anything super exciting this weekend, but we’re taking Topher and one of his friends Trick-or-treating and carving a pumpkin tonight :)

We watched Adjustment Bureau a few weeks ago and I really enjoyed it – and I usually HATE Matt Damon movies …

  3. I love those squished, disc-shaped, orange & black pumpkins! Our trick or treat was postponed until tonight because of the freak snowstorm (!) we got over the weekend, so Halloween isn’t quite done yet for me – which is good, because I did NOTHING for it!

  4. Delightful! We went to a laid-back party on Friday, but Saturday & Sunday were very chill. <3 Hooray for loving Autumn!

  5. happy halloween, suesse ! sounds like you had a great weekend. I love your pictures – great colors and great weather… it’s grey and cold here in germany.

  6. Awww, I love your photos. I’m having a love affair with the color orange these days!

We didn’t do anything related to Halloween, since we spent the weekend partying with the one-year old crowd! =)

  7. sorry we didn’t get to meet up this weekend but looks like you had a fabulous time, and love those pumpkins. mmmmpumpkin.

  8. Happy Halloween! Sounds great!
As you know, Halloween isn’t that big a deal here, but we did carve pumpkins and are going to a mystique night at the Castle of Weikersheim!
    Hugs xxx

  9. I just stumbled upon your blog and it’s beautiful. I’ll definitely be back! Halloween weekend was uneventful for us…we watched Freddy vs. Jason (ridiculous) and the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre (gross) and did a bit of shopping and a whole lot of laziness.

  10. Oh, you are so right. I could go with that kind of weather, too. :) All year round!

I didn’t do anything Halloween-ish either. When I went to a friend yesterday night, I saw a few kids on the street, trick and treating. But that was about it.

Your weekend sounds sooo great. :)

Here’s to an even greater week. XO.
