February Birchbox

I am a little bit late with my February Birchbox review. Last month I received box #1.

Here’s what I received (*calculated value of the samples in parenthesis):

Bain de Terre passion flower COLOR PRESERVING SHAMPOO ($1.51) and Bain de Terre passion flower COLOR PRESERVING CONDITIONER ($1.70): I am always looking forward to shampoo and conditioner samples, because I know that my hair frequently needs a change and this duo comes just at the right time. I am not a fan of strongly scented shampoos, but the passion flower scent is actually quite pleasant.

Miracle Skin Transformer Face Spotlight SPF 20 ($3.20): This is a BB cream that promises to hydrate, illuminate dull skin, minimize pores and fine lines, and protect against solar rays. I really appreciate the SPF20 and it’s a nice size that you can pop in your purse for travel.

StriVectin-AR™ Advanced Retinol Eye Treatment ($25.50): I’ve heard about a lot about this eye treatment and people are generally quite happy with it, therefore I am definitely excited to try this. It’s on the pricey side and I hope it will deliver.

Previse HydroMilk™ ($4.08): For some reason, I am always drawn to products that have “milk” in their name. It just sounds luxurious, doesn’t it? This moisturizer has antioxidants, hyaluronic acid, and botanical extracts which fight all signs of aging. Essential fatty acids restore skin’s elasticity and the product is free of parabens, petroleum, silicones, and synthesized oils. I really hope I’ll like this.

The total came to $35.99 last month. Not bad at all. I liked all the samples that came in the box and am looking forward to trying them out.
